He was genuinely such an amazing part of our experience last year and deserves so much recognition for everything he did. He was an unpaid intern, but you honestly never would have known that based on the amount of time, effort, and care he put into his work. He was constantly covering multiple teams, showing up for games and events, and making sure he was there to capture as much as possible. He went far beyond what was ever expected of him, simply because he cared about what he was doing and the athletes he was working with.
Beyond how hardworking and talented he was, he was also just an amazing person to have around. He always brought such a positive and fun energy, and I genuinely looked forward to seeing him at our games. Having someone on the sidelines who was always excited to be there, supporting us and capturing those moments, made a bigger difference than he probably realized. There were so many times when just seeing him there or talking to him made my day.
The work he put in, especially while balancing several teams and doing all of it as an unpaid intern, never went unnoticed. He gave so much more to the position than he ever had to, and I truly hope he knows how appreciated he was. Our team was extremely lucky to have him, and he absolutely deserves recognition for the impact he made both through his work and simply by being someone we loved having around.
